Mothering the Mother is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that believes ALL women should have access to quality birth professionals regardless of their situation. We are a resource center for ALL mothers, and offer referrals to birth professionals for free.
We also provide a variety of classes, doulas, lactation support, support groups, guidance to help meet the families needs, mentors and more. All of our services are based upon a sliding scale depending on the individual family's income and circumstances and will range anywhere from full price to low cost or even free.
Mothering the Mother believes very strongly in creating connections and collaborations within the community, and so we are always finding other organizations that we can work with or refer to. By collaborating with other organizations we are able to provide the best resources available to serve the needs of the families we work with.
We realize that parenthood doesn't just start and end with the birth of the baby, but instead starts before conception and goes on for a lifetime. Therefore we are here to offer assistance throughout the journey, and our goal is to give mothers and babies the best possible start in life.

**Not all of the services will be free especially when a client does not meet the income guidelines or when referring outside of our organization. We will do our best to connect families that are in need with free services, but sometimes that won't be possible. If that is the case we will let you know immediately so that you can make an educated decision about what is in the best interest of your family. Also please be aware that all of the matches we make are made with independent contractors and Mothering the Mother, Inc is only the referral source (we cannot be held liable for the actions of the volunteers or independent contractors).
